Well April is now upon us and this weekend is traditionally the start of the tourism season, and what charming weather we are experiencing. Lovely blue skies, a nip in the air and we've even arranged for a smattering of snow on Dartmoor for a pleasant Easter stroll. There may also be a shower here and there but that's what coats and umbrellas were invented for.
In Brixham the Golden hind is open for business, the ferries are geared up and ready to take you onto the high seas and the new Berry Head visitor centre and cafe have opened for business. The tourism businesses are feeling positive for the season after a particularly quiet winter with reasonable visitor bookings and a hope for some decent weather, after 3 average summers we are due something a bit better.
Watch this space for updates on the multitude of upcoming events and festivals with the Pirate festival starting us off from the 30th April, I hope you all have your outfits lined up for the world record attempt.
