Hello all, Brixham did it again, the world record for gathering of pirates was recaptured last weekend from Portland. Despite mixed weather and biting winds 1722 hearty souls were counted beating the record by 52. Well done to all. The weekend was full of piratical shenanigans and a good time was had by all. Make sure you participate next year, it's one of the best weekends.
Now into May and the town is warming up and visitors are growing. What's next in Brixham? Lots linked to Torbay Geopark and Berry head including a rockpool ramble, geology walk and a Bat walk. Talking of BAT's, this is a group now running the theatre and scala hall and they are having a launch day on May 22nd, please go along and support. The Brixham ghost walk's have restarted, Sunday's in May, and at the end of the month is the Heritage Festival with the usual smorgasbord of events and activities including the opening parade on the 29th and the spectacular fireworks display also on the 29th in the late evening.
